Emil Kozak

Emil Kozak is from a small town in Denmark, and was inspired to take on graphic design as a result of his life long passion for skateboarding.

He began at an early age to develop his skills, inspired by skateboard-art and the result today is a unique artist with brilliant ideas. The style is fresh and positive, but often with a message that digs deeper. He is a master of composition and has an eye for detail, that is not seen very often. Typographic, clean lines and few colors is often how Emil Kozak`s artwork is described. Yet, there is always an unexpected surprise: obscure references, playing with words, codes and hints.

FirmaStyle

For all these years we haven't been longing to anything certain but have been doing our favourite business. _FIRMA has just become our tool to embody our fantasies which are expanding enormously.
100 years means 36 525 days, out of which we have worked hard for only 9 131, and for the rest of the time we quited universities and have been changing our places of living, explored ourselves and the world outside.
100 years means 876 600 hours, out of which we have laughed at others for 59 256 hours and laughed at ourselves for 74 820.
100 years means 52 596 000 minutes, out of which we have spent 20 160 min on building a bar inside our studio, 10 950 min on checking our e-mails and 32 min on writing this text.
100 years means 3 155 760 000 seconds, but life is too damn short to count seconds.
Finally, 100 years equals 25 four times and during this time one of us has had a heir, another has gained a robot alter ego, the third has created his own rock band and the fourth has plunged into the world of luxury.
We have done a lot, and we are enthusiastic about what we have not accomplished yet.
Stay cool and tuned.

Kris Kuksi

"Kuksi is obsessed with exposing the illusions we created as a result of fear in our minds. These illusions are the aspects of society that encourages domestication of our free selves. A society that furthermore teaches us to behave according to those rules that we deeply, yet unknowingly, want to resist. He believes there is no Hell but a Hell that is of the Earth"

Newsmap

Newsmap is an application that visually reflects the constantly changing landscape of the Google News news aggregator. A treemap visualization algorithm helps display the enormous amount of information gathered by the aggregator. Treemaps are traditionally space-constrained visualizations of information. Newsmap's objective takes that goal a step further and provides a tool to divide information into quickly recognizable bands which, when presented together, reveal underlying patterns in news reporting across cultures and within news segments in constant change around the globe.
Newsmap does not pretend to replace the googlenews aggregator. Its objective is to simply demonstrate visually the relationships between data and the unseen patterns in news media. It is not thought to display an unbiased view of the news; on the contrary, it is thought to ironically accentuate the bias of it.

Alexandre Orion

Alexandre Orion
has just sent me his brand new project, Ossario . In a underpass of his beloved Sao Paulo he patiently scraped off layers of soot left by thousabd of cars, leaving skulls. Skulls with piercing ocular cavities reminding us how much pollution is part of our everyday’s life. Police checked him, but cleaning is legal; the only way to stop him was clean the whole tunnel. No smoot, no skulls.
I have to express all my admiration to Orion. He is inspiring and an example for us all.

Estevan Oriol

Estevan Oriol began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1980's as a club bouncer at Los Angeles' most popular Hip Hop clubs and infamous Hollywood hangouts. It was there that Estevan first linked up with his Soul Assassin brothers from South Gate, Cypress Hill. Eager to expand his knowledge of the business, Estevan secured a job as tour manager for the rap group, House of Pain, in 1992.

Estevan invoked his unique photography style to catalogue the outrageous experiences he had on tour and began taking pictures of his neighborhood homies and the low rider culture. He had a gift for capturing the raw essence of street life through his photography. Within a short time, he became one of the most sought after photographers of the Urban and Hip Hop community. His work has been featured in magazines world-wide including: COMPLEX, FHM, GQ, Flaunt, Details, Vibe, The Fader, and Rolling Stone.

''After getting aware of the viewpoint of an "empty self," I started in 1999 a series of works using paper, titled "Linear-Actions Projects by Drawing and Cutting." It looks like annual rings of a tree or topographical map or waive, but it isn't. It is absolutely the traces of actions of a person, which is me''

Giles Revell

Giles Revell was born in Sawbridgeworth, Herts in 1965. Giles lives, works and exhibits in London.

Giles’ work is influenced by seminal fine art and conceptualism, producing graphic, ideas-based imagery. In addition to a very pure photography and the ‘traditional’ nature of recording light and subject, Giles is renowned for manipulating not only cameras but esoteric equipment fused with digital software methods. His subjects are diverse and span passions for Nature – its force and sensitivity; Form – experimenting with scale and surface; Time – a recurring theme explored for its ethereal beauty and poetry. Abigail Reynolds

Abigail Reynolds works with trajectories, networks and ordering systems. Rather than taking an image as a starting point for making work, she sets in motion a system and set of processes that result in a form being created. Abigail Reynolds works with materials to bring fugitive knowledge and connections into the immediacy of physical experience. Reynolds’ work has the puzzle-like quality of something being thought through.
Abigail Reynolds (b. 1970) is a graduate of Goldsmiths, London

She lives and works in London and St Just, Cornwall.
