Artist Statement

Through my work I search for the common ground we ALL share.
Discovering the multiple worlds that intertwine in our reality becomes the vehicle of discovering my own.
I step in another person's shoes in an attempt of unveiling the reality that surrounds us.
By giving the tools to those who are left out we are able to hear their voice that raise without words and to look through their eyes. It is then that we can see WE are not different.

The other is a treat

The other is a treath project by Matthieu Lavanchy & James Thom.

CONCEPT
Fixed images, cold lights. This is almost a staging. A very clear story told through colours, to describe today's political and social tensions. For Matthieu and James it is difficult to not be afraid in today's day and age. We are assaulted by the mass media with violent and dramatic images that slowly become part of our everyday life, creating a sense of paranoia. (complete flickr set here)

Robert Stadler

Robert Stadler was born in 1966 in Vienna. He studied design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, then at ENSCI / Les Ateliers in Paris, where he cofounded the RADI DESIGNERS group in 1992. Since 2000 he has been working solo while simultaneously continuing his activity with the group.
Robert Stadler intervenes in very diverse fields, obliterating all hierarchies between free proposals and industrial commissions. He explores the exhibition space in order to scramble the usual categories of art and design. He questions the status of the object as work of art or product as well as the border between preciousness and lowliness, between elegance and vulgarity, between the serious and the absurd.
Robert Stadler lives and works in Paris and Rio de Janeiro.

6x10

Brought to you by FormFiftyFive, Six by Ten is a unique collaboration between writers and designers. At FFF, we’re always meeting new and exciting creatives and we wanted to find a way to showcase their work and inspire people to great things.
We had a chat with our writer friend
Laura Forman who introduced us to six-word stories, named our project and wrote the story for issue 01. So what’s a six-word story? Exactly as it sounds. A story told in six words, no more, no less.
For each issue of Six by Ten, we’ll be commissioning a six-word story by a different writer and asking ten players from FFF to unleash their talents on it. So that’s one writer, six words and ten interpretations. We hope to produce a very special run of 60 editions of each issue.

Any questions about the project :
