Alix Malka

The swirling curves and dramatic poses of model Marcelina Sowa are perfectly captured by photographer, Alix Malka, as she floats underwater. Obsessed by color, Malka’s images are suggestive of taste for rich, exuberant and sophisticated stylism. Water is of course famously the giver of life, but here it bears another gift: beauty.
This must definitely be underwater love!

Nikola Tamindzic

Nikola Tamindzic born in 1973 and based in New York City, Nikola Tamindzic established his reputation when he started shooting nightlife reportage for Nick Denton's notorious Gawker in 2004. The photo galleries fused Gawker's irreverent editorial vision with Tamindzic's photographic talents to present the faces of the time in a less mediated way. Today, he lives and takes pictures in the Lower East Side, and his distinctive style has breathed much needed life into the somewhat jaded genre of nightlife photography.

DESIGNINGSOUNDS™

Sound design and music for TV commercials, movies, videos and any other motion graphics.

Michael Fakesch started DESIGNINGSOUNDS™ in 2006, though his musical career began 12 years earlier. In 1994, Michael co-founded the music project Funkstörung which became world renown for their remixes (e.g. Björk, Wu-Tang Clan), being one of the first bands signed to K7 Records, and of course theiroutstanding visual collaborations (e.g. the DVD Isolated).

Since the termination of Funkstörung in 2005, Michael continued where Funkstörung left off, releasing more music on K7 Records (e.g. the album dos) and doing even more remixes (e.g. for Herbert, Bomb The Bass, Booka Shade). And as if that weren’t enough on the plate, Michael also starting dabbling in the more corporate side of things by designing sound and music for the advertising industry. In 2008, he even began giving lectures about sound design at university. Busy times!

Benoît Robert

Under the name Event10, Benoît Robert starts in 1999 as a graphic designer for independent music labels. Thus he is evolving in an underground artistic environment that allows him to get a cross-look on the visual communication area, in imposing himself progressively as a whole Art Director. Anti-conformist, his work tries to break with the style effect, the perishable, while refering to the not-established value.

He conceives the art direction and the visual identity of brands and diverse projects related to music, fashion, contemporary art, cinema. His strength lies in his ability to work with artistic and cultural institutions just as well with big advertising companies.
Being always on the look-out for new technics and inspirations, he likes to come closer and converse directly with the artists, so that he can enrich his own graphical and artistic world.

Kendall Buster

New Growth is an inventory of architectural models that operates in the territory where architecture and biology might meet; an imagined city where old forms generate new forms through processes that suggest germination, budding, merging, hybridization, or absorption.
This model
city is a single organism conceived of as a functioning system of interdependent parts. It is also a grouping of autonomous structures that operate like competitive independent organisms in a loose highly provisional community. Some are connected by passageways that suggest either umbilical cords or parasitic invasions. Contiguous membranes create distinct regions in the city and the transparency of these membranes allow inner layer to be visible through outer shell. These porous membranes also operate as a continuous plane where exterior protective shell wall folds in to become interior vessel lining wall. (more)

Michael Mararian

Michael Mararian possesses a poetic propensity for taking traditionally cheerful images and concepts and turning them into frightening, yet humorous, tableaus. Focusing on children as the last bastion of innocence, Mararian draws on a diverse range of influences to deliver the peculiar ink work he aptly calls, M. Mararian’s Inky Dreadfuls. In this world our fondest visions of childhood’s naiveté are darkly rearranged to uncover lost innocence and the fear of our modern times.
