Matthew Picton

Matthew Picton studied Politics and History at the London School of Economics, and has travelled extensively throughout the world. Contemporary art has always been a passion, and Matthew began painting in the early 1980's. He settled in San Francisco and began a career as an artist in 1992. Matthew participated in his first exhibit, a group show at The Triangle Gallery in San Francisco, which lead to a solo exhibit there in 1998. Shortly thereafter, Matthew moved to Ashland, Oregon where he currently lives with his family and works in a studio downtown. He has exhibited extensively along the West Coast and further afield in the United States.
