Viktor & Rolf is an Amsterdam-based fashion brand. The company was founded in 1993 by designers Viktor Horsting (born 1969) and Rolf Snoeren (born 1969).
They are most well-known for their fantastical and concept-based designs and for their conceptually driven fashion show presentations.
Subjects of their work include their analysis of fashion and the fashion industry, the idea of the fashion designer as a story-teller, transformation, illusions, empowerment, and their overt pursuit of international popularity. Characteristics of their clothes include layering, distortion, exaggeration and repetition of classical design elements.
